A Brain-Based Assessment for a More Scientific Diagnosis

At Neurocore, we go beyond a simple checklist of reported or observed behaviors. Using data gathered through cutting-edge brainwave mapping technology and other evaluation tools, Neurocore provides a deep understanding of why an individual’s health and well-being may be compromised.

Quantitative Electroencephalogram (qEEG)

A full-cap qEEG is at the core of our assessment process and helps us to understand what is happening in your brain. A cap is placed on your head that allows the frequencies of your brainwaves to be measured at 19 sites of the brain. This allows us to measure and record the brainwave frequencies within and across your various brain networks. We analyze both brain speed and connectivity in determining how optimally your brain is functioning.

Looking at your brainwave activity can provide our clinical specialists valuable insights into what is contributing to your unwanted symptoms or challenges.

Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

This test measures your heart rate and breathing patterns. Data will be analyzed to determine if your respiratory system and cardiovascular system are functioning in cohesion with one another. Good cohesion between the respiratory and cardiovascular systems is vital to brain health.

Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test (IVA)

The IVA is a computerized test designed to detect attention disorders. It measures sensory processing, impulsivity, and attention.

“Had concerns with my 4yr old son’s focus and attention span. He simply could not sit still. In most cases, he was not even aware of the fact that he was constantly fidgeting. After his evaluation with Neurocore, it was discovered that he showed high levels of anxiety, not ADHD. So happy we didn’t take the “sit & wait” approach as recommended by every Dr. we spoke with. I knew there had to be something we could try that did not involve medication. Thank you Neurocore!

After our 30 visits, we have definitely noticed improvement in our son’s attention span & focus. Just yesterday, his preschool teacher stated that she has definitely noticed improvement as well. Previously, he would not typically finish projects that required him to sit still and focus. However, this past week, he completed 2 projects that required a great deal of focus and ability to sit still.

Have patience…..which is very hard for me. We didn’t notice changes until about the 20th session. Then we started noticing subtle changes. As mentioned by the Neurocore staff, we are hopeful to see additional positive changes over the Summer as his brain continues to balance.”

“[Reasons for coming to Neurocore] I had anxiety and I wasn’t sleeping well.

I feel more relaxed and energized. I feel like I can deal with problems and not let anxiety overtake my thoughts. This program has been life changing for me. I am forever grateful.”

“I was challenged with insomnia, depression and anxiety. My psychiatrist wanted me to have ECT treatment. I did a search and learned about Neurocore. I was looking for a less invasive treatment.

My sleeping has definitely improved. For the first time in years I fall asleep on my own. (Maybe 2-3 hrs). I then take my sleep meds and sleep for another 3-4 hrs. Not much change with the anxiety/depression.

The clinical staff was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. They really put me at ease.”
