What is Neurocore Brain Performance Training?

After you have completed the brain diagnostic assessment, you will begin your neurofeedback brain performance training. At a Neurocore Brain Performance Center, each neurofeedback and biofeedback session takes advantage of your brain’s ability to change – that’s neuroplasticity. During the 30-session program, you learn to breathe deeper and slower, your brain learns how to stop spiking out of range and brain and heart function improves. All in a noninvasive, drug-free* way.

1. Biofeedback Training (HRV Training)

With HRV, or heart rate variability, biofeedback you learn to breathe deeper and slower to maximize your heart function, allowing proper blood and oxygen to flow throughout your body, most importantly, to your brain. 20% of the energy of every breath you take goes straight to your brain. For the first several minutes of every session, you will work with a client advocate to focus on improving your breathing, getting immediate feedback of your HRV. You will receive further HRV biofeedback during your neurofeedback training.

2. Neurofeedback Training (EEG Biofeedback)

With neurofeedback, our training is fun! You watch a movie. That’s it. That’s all you have to do! You will watch a movie each session while hooked up to EEG equipment that plays when your brain function is within the therapeutic range. When it goes out of range, the movie pauses, which tells you that something is out of balance.

During the 30-session program, your brain may subconsciously learn how to stop spiking out of range, and brain function improves. You learn how to optimize your brainwave activity the same way you learn other skills — through feedback and practice. You can bring in your own DVD movie (or tv show) or select from our collection at the center. You will periodically be reassessed throughout the 30-session program and you will have access to our clinicians every step of the way.
